House 1 for sure. I trust Beverly Crusher with my life

It’s difficult, but I chose house 2. You have an excellent doctor, a steady female authority figure, a sweetie-pie, a baseball dad who is a very good cook, a compassionate and insightful mental health professional, and I guess we can all manage to tolerate Malcolm, a man about whom I remember nothing from my brief time watching Enterprise before I got bored apart from “allergic to pineapples” and “sort of like Rimmer but not funny.”

House 1 has the best mom friend, but Kira and Sulu will be climbing the walls by day 3 (both entirely too energetic and Kira is canonically unable to chill) and Worf will be grumpy and it’ll just be awful. It will probably rain so no one can go outside for a break from everyone else. If Trip and Seven are smart they will lie extremely low.

House 3 will also have a problem with boredom but instead of people pacing around and poking each other with an épée and declaring everyone else without honour and going off to sit in the yard with rain trickling off their forehead ridges, it will result in both Garak and Dax playing intrigues and trying to engineer drama to amuse themselves. Uhura will probably catch on early and help Dax, Tom will get played like a cheap kazoo, Spock will be remote and passive-aggressive and Archer’s dog will get terrible cheese farts and stink the house out.

House 4’s troubles begin when Quark stockpiles surgical masks and hand sanitiser in the garage and tries to sell them for an iniquitous mark-up. Picard is incensed by his profiteering and makes a speech. McCoy and O’Brien save the day when they throw Quark’s stuff out on the kerb and build a still in the garage. I do not know Kes or B’Elanna well enough to know what they’ll do.

I do not care about anyone in House 5 except Chekov and Riker, and things turn frosty early on when Chekov claims jazz was invented in Novgorod.

House 6 has the most authoritarian person in the Star Trek universe and the most anarchic. It will be Kirk’s greatest challenge to maintain peace. It would probably be interesting to watch if I weren’t having such a nice time eating gumbo and helping plan an RPG where Sherlock Holmes and Jane Eyre go to the Old West.
