I grew up eating this thing my mom would call her “Grandmother’s Hamburgers” and we never knew it was a real Japanese recipe. Long after she died we discovered that it wasn’t an attempt at Americanization but a legit family recipe brought from Japan, how cool is that! Thanks Hello Kitty, Nick and Griffin.
