It’s interesting though that this is almost literally true. The White Guardian is the closest thing to capital-G God that the whoniverse has to offer. And yes, we’ve met satan and various gods and things, but those are all aliens that have been interpreted as gods or demons in their interaction with other races. Even the Time Lords have had a bit of that. But the Guardians aren’t Sufficiently Advanced Aliens or anything like that. They’re not a species. They’re the Guardians. And they’re not just deities for all intents and purposes - they’re dualistic deities. I love dualistic deities! But it’s a very different setup from a singular creator God that most of the popular monotheist religions go in for. And that fact - that he is dualistic rather than singular - is about the first thing the White Guardian tells the Doctor (who assumes the opposite).
Also the White Guardian is frickin terrifying.
