Outfit #1 is so chill, so casual, so unremarkable. He will never, ever, ever wear something this boring again, so enjoy it while you can.

y’all know i am very ah. skeptical. about vulcans but god help me if i don’t just fucking love extreme dramatic bitch and worst ever dad sarek. mark lennard strode nobly through a turn as a great and venerated patriarch who was actually just clinging to petty grudges and sowing galactic conflict in his wake so that james frain could cape-swirl as a needlessly lunatic drama queen who couldn’t find the most logical path from point a to point b if he was led by the hand every step of the way. the man deliberately turned his own dementia into a five-act melodrama and made it absolutely everyone’s problem but his own. if his children have had even one moment of peace or sanity in their lives it is not his fault. he’s the franchise’s best evidence that ‘logic’ is just repression so extreme it can only result in rampant chaos, he’s one of the worst people on star trek, and listen. i love him
