I can’t pick between: Is he trying to long distance meld to stop the attack? Or trying that Vulcan fighting technique? And I don’t know which would be better.

Because it brings up the question- would he be able to do either of those things? Does he have the talent? Has he trained for this? Or was it a kind of position where everyone else is doing something and he’s like: “um. Yikes. Okay. I have to do something”
