Adult content is mistaken

laurabfernandez

I found that not only my new posts are still being tagged with the infamous “adult content” tag, but my older ones too. Decay, nature, landscape images from my archives are being tagged as NSFW. I already sent a request to Tumblr, doubting I’ll get an answer tho… so I quit, unless this somehow is fixed, something I don’t think they’re doing any time soon I’m afraid.
It’s been a very fun ride being here all these years, and I really hope this won’t be a last goodbye but just a “see you later”
I encourage all the Tumblr artists out there to stomp their feet on the floor and write to the Tumblr @staff and complain, otherwise our work won’t be seen and we will end up posting for just a few people.
Bye, you wonderful people ❤️

It is out of control -

when a new process is mishandled to the point where you lose artists and the original content they bring to tumblr, because your process is wrongly tagging posts as NSFW.

I don’t know what the process is to determine this tag - but it is increasingly obvious that it is full of errors, and subsequently causing creators (and other tumblrs) to leave in frustration.

I hope this gets some visibility - it’s incredibly important that this process gets fixed/changed/modified to a useful state, or abandoned.
