The last shot is a deleted scene from the movie. During the final credits, there is a deleted scene of Scotty accidentally slipping off the ladder into the water, so this is McCoy pulling him back aboard.
Early CGI in STAR TREK films. The “rolling fire” Genesis effect and the Reliant’s targeting computer (II), the dogfight game that’s glimpsed in III (spot the red and green planes), and the dreamlike time warp sequence in IV.
