I love this callback to The Gathering, especially how different these two were compared to now, in both subtle and not so subtle ways.

I know JMS had a grand plan - some of which did get upended - but I always wonder if there was something more behind certain looks, certain nods…
1. The very TNG-like phasers that are only seen in the pilot (PPGs are much cooler tho)
2. The padded armour, Garibaldi doesn’t seem so sure.
3. I don’t think those cumbersome rifles were ever seen again except for that one promo shot.
It’s funny that here they’re taking orders from a senator while later Sheridan’s speech about the chain of command singles out senators giving orders
Okay but it’s hard to take the scene seriously with these Roller Coaster seats
