A sidenote from the novelverse. When the Borg invaded in 2381, Acamar III was the first to fall (along with Barolia). They didn’t even bother with assimilation at that point as the Borg were pretty much fed up and didn’t care about assimilating anyone in the Alpha Quadrant anymore. 

I had to dig it up because it did set up the endgame for the Borg when they hear the new message.
