Contamination starts similarly to Zombi 2 (which was released a year earlier):

A ship is refusing to answer hails and enters New York Harbour. In Zombi 2 it was a schooner and a couple of cops boarded her found a fat zombie and killed it but not before one got bit. Here’s it’s a small freighter but these guys are playing it smart and are having it tugged to a quarantine bay. (we’ll see how it goes). Both are from the Caribbean.

Contamination, like Zombi 2 is another Italian production, directed by Lewis Coates (Luigi Cozzi) who also directed Corman’s Starcrash and it stars Ian McCullough who was in Zombi 2, as well as Zombie Holocaust and the Original version of Terry Nation’s Survivors.
