oleander, according to victorian tradition, were viewed to symbolize caution as well as the complex nature of love. fitting for a flower so delicate and beautiful yet poisonous and fatal. a warning for some and an invitation for others, to indicate ‘loving me could kill you,’ and accepting it with open palms.
