Shitfuck, Colin is going to say "Hey Laszlo, guess what?" In casual conversation one day and Laszlo is going to have a fucking breakdown
I was so struck by how it’s both comforting to have adult Colin Robinson back, that he actually always was a bit of a comforting and stabilising presence in his way, and dreadfully sad. I mean, he and Laszlo really were friends. Laszlo remembers a little thing like Colin Robinson speaking to him in a Jar Jar Binks voice (while, as I suspected, having no idea what Jar Jar Binks is). Besides all the practical benefits of Colin Robinson’s ability to adult, I think there does have to be some relief in getting his friend back - but at the same time he’s just lost his little boy, and it happened so suddenly.
We always all talk about Matt Berry’s voice in terms of the amazing ways he’ll find to pronounce and inflect things, but his opening words in that episode, telling us Baby Colin is miserable, have so much audible pain and sorrow in them, it was just (vague gestures of inarticulate emotion).
