IIRC first she made him smell a rose, there was a bee in it and it stung his nose because of course there was and of course it did, the universe goes out of its way to gang up on Captain Haddock, and after removing the sting she applied a poultice of crushed rose petals that she said would make it feel better.  He looked an utter tit and the men from Paris-Flash took pictures of it.
